Another digital artwork.

I was inspired by an ad I saw a long time ago for Nordstrom around the holidays. I wanted to emulate the whimsical and simple style of the ad in my own work.

This piece depicts four women at a holiday party in Central Park. I went for a fun, playful color palette and decided not to make the piece centered around one color combination. I also wanted to have the women be dressed in bright colors to symbolize a sense of festiveness. I used different brush strokes for the leaves, snow, and the women. A marker-type brush was used for the women and their outfits to create a more paper-like feel to the canvas and a pre-generated textured brush was used for the leaves and the snow.
